Brian Gilbert

Ag Banking Manager

“The best advice I ever received was, ‘The worst decision is no decision.’”

Brian says he is supported by the BEST team of Ag experts in our area. He describes his team members as being industry leaders that have an understanding of ownership, and the senior management team as understanding the cyclical nature of agriculture.

“I was told by many professionals that this was the best family-owned bank in our community. After 12 years, they were 100% correct.”

Brian grew up in Hitchcock, SD, graduated from SDSU, and even married his high-school sweetheart! He continued his education by attending the Graduate School of Banking and the South Dakota Agriculture and Rural Leadership program, and has now been in the industry for nearly 20 years. He takes pride in helping farmers achieve their financial goals and understands the importance of keeping the family legacy strong through comfortable and challenging times.

Outside of work, Brian is on the SD Cattleman’s Foundation board, SD State Ag & Bio Advisory board, Sioux Falls Stockyards Experience board, and Independent Community Bankers of South Dakota board. He is also an active volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club.
