FNB Downtown Branch Construction Updates

FNB Downtown Branch Construction Updates

From individuals to families to business owners, we’ve been the banking partner for Sioux Falls for 135 years. Part of serving our customers is the buildings we’re located in.

We shared in October 2019 that we were beginning some updates to the exterior of our main office building in Downtown Sioux Falls. Our buildings are changing, but the work we do inside – like bringing our customers innovative financial services – will stay the same. We will keep putting our customers FIRST as we explore how to make banking easier and better for our communities.

We are in full swing with construction, and we want to keep you in the know about what you can expect the next time you visit our Downtown Branch. Take a look at our plans in the images below and check back here regularly for updates on the construction process.

2021

Update: Thursday, May 20, 2021

Over the last two years, we’ve been working on exterior updates to our Downtown main office building. We are excited to share that we are beginning to prepare for the next phase: a full remodel of our atrium and first floor lobby. To keep our customers and clients safe during the construction, access to the building will be restricted beginning Monday, May 17. Parking will be available in our customer parking lot on the east side of the building, and signage will direct you to the appropriate entrance.

Here are a few other things to know before your next visit.

  • Personal Banking: Personal Bankers and Tellers will be relocated to the drive-up building. You can continue to take care of your personal banking needs by using the entrance on the south side of the building, as well as in the drive-up.
  • Business Banking: During the construction, if you visit the Downtown location, please plan to call your banker directly or one of the associates at (605) 335-5167 so they can meet you at the door. If you have a teller transaction, you can go inside the drive-up building by using the entrance on the south side, or use the drive-up.
  • Wealth Management: If you plan to visit during the construction, please call your Officer directly and they will meet you at the door. If your Officer is unavailable when you arrive, you may dial (605) 335-5180 and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

We are excited to be creating a space that is fresh and welcoming as an affirmation of our commitment to serving our clients and our communities. Stay tuned to our blog and social media channels for a sneak peak of the updates! If you have any questions, please contact us.

2020

Update: Tuesday, July 28

The double customer elevators on the west side of the building will be closed on Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29. If you need to access the second through fourth floors of the building during that time, please use the elevator in the Bank lobby, accessible by using the customer entrance on the east side of the building.

Update: Friday, July 17

Birds fly south for the winter, but our eagle is going into hibernation! We’re putting the eagle in a protective cage during construction so he doesn’t get damaged.

Update: Monday, July 13

If you plan to visit our Downtown Branch in the coming weeks, you will find that our main entrance on Phillips Avenue will be closed. Beginning Monday, July 13, please use the entrance on the east side of the building.

Update: Wednesday, June 24

We found little pieces of history – some vintage soda cans and a milk carton! These were likely left by contractors during the building’s construction in the 1970s.
