Grant Olson
Ag Banking Team Lead
Hometown: Howard, SD
Education: South Dakota State University
Whether you’re looking to buy your next parcel, add to your herd, or protect your operation with the right crop and livestock insurance options, I’m here to be your trusted partner.
With 15 years in banking and experience on a cow-calf and feeder-to-finish operation, I can recognize potential risk within your farm and know what tools are available to help you mitigate those risks. Together, we can share experiences and knowledge with each other to accomplish your financial and operational goals.
I’m a licensed crop and livestock insurance agent and, in addition to my ag business and economics degree from SDSU, have completed these programs:
- Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University
- ICBSD Emerging Leaders Program
- IBA Ag Credit School at Iowa State University
- National School for Experienced Ag Lenders
- SDBA School for Beginning Ag Lenders
Meanwhile, my family and kids are truly my greatest accomplishment. My wife, Kristi, and I are proud parents to Grayson, Montee, and Evie.
In my free time, I stay busy coaching youth baseball and football, playing golf and amateur baseball, and hanging out at the river. I’m also a member of the Dell Rapids Athletic Booster Club, Dell Rapids Economic Development Board, and Dell Rapids Baseball Association, and I volunteer with the Sioux Empire Livestock Show.
Feel free to ask me about my bull riding days, but maybe not how the Vikings are doing at any given time…
