Ag Banker
Hometown: Garretson, SD
The opportunity to work with a well-managed, well-established Ag Banking team built with progress in mind is what brought me to the Bank in 2018.
Having begun my career as a teller in 1982, I’ve served several banks in many different capacities over the years. But my current enjoyment comes from bringing quality people and farming operations to FNB, where we can partner with them to help expand their operations as timely and efficiently as possible.
I hold associate degrees in both business and economics, and in 2001 I completed the Graduate School of Banking program in Boulder, Colorado.
My wife, Deb, and I have been married for nearly 45 years and are empty nesters. We have three grown sons, three daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren to date.
All of the chills and thrills that come from raising a family are by far our greatest accomplishment. Not surprisingly, then, my favorite FIRST Value is Family; the Bank recognizes that family comes first and operates with that understanding.
In my free time, I enjoy woodworking projects, keeping a steady exercise schedule, hunting pheasants, and occasionally fishing. Additionally, I am vice president of the Blue Dragon Foundation and have served the City of Garretson as a councilman for the past nine years.
And while I am a fan of Da Bears, I don’t love to talk about it. Ask me about my best fishing stories instead!
