FNB Family Friday:

Jodie Forstein

Each week we’ll be showing you who we are through FNB Family Fridays! We’ve asked our friends and teammates questions that will give you a look into what they do at the Bank, their hobbies outside of work, and some of their favorite things. Be sure to check back here every Friday to read about another featured team member. We have some interesting people we work with every day!

Our featured employee this week is one of our newest internal auditors, Jodie Forstein.

Jodie grew up in Clarkfield, Minnesota, and earned her degree in business administration from Southwest Minnesota State University. She recently transitioned from a loan underwriter specialist to our internal audit team. The role of internal audit is to review the processes within each department to make sure the risk is at an acceptable level and procedures are in place to mitigate the higher risk areas.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?

A: I like being able to work with all departments and being able to see how each process connects with departments of the Bank to get to an end product for the customer.

Q: Describe FNB in three words and explain why you chose those three.

A: Values, relationships, and fun! I feel valued as an employee, have been able to build great relationships through the years with coworkers, and get to have fun every day at a job I love!

Q: What drew you to FNB originally? And how has it changed since?

A: The FIRST Values and small town feel. Coming from a small town, I like having that close knit community feel at my job. I know who to go to when I have a question on opening accounts to managing bill pay and anything in between.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

A: I love playing basketball and volleyball any chance I can. I love going to the lake with family and friends, and hiking. I also volunteer for Junior Achievement. The joy on the children’s faces every time I walk into the classroom and their excitement to learn is a great experience.

Q: If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be, and why?

A: Ellen DeGeneres. She is always spreading kindness & laughter. I love that in a person and how they manage to do that even on tough days.
