FNB Family Friday

Grant Olson

Each week we’ll be showing you who we are through FNB Family Fridays! We’ve asked our friends and teammates questions that will give you a look into what they do at the Bank, their hobbies outside of work, and some of their favorite things. Be sure to check back here every Friday to read about another featured team member. We have some interesting people we work with every day!

Our featured employee this week is one of our Ag Bankers, Grant Olson.

Grant grew up in Howard, SD, and attended South Dakota State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in ag business. With 10 years of industry experience, Grant is an Ag Banking Team Lead at our Flandreau Branch, where he works with lenders and customers to capitalize on opportunities and to provide solutions that benefit both the Bank and our customers.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?

A: The best part of my job is building relationships with area producers and collaborating with coworkers.

Q: Describe FNB in three words and explain why you chose those three.

A: Fun – We work hard and we play hard.

Family – We care for each other, just as we care for our own families.

Rewarding – We are given the opportunity to learn and grow at FNB.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

A: I enjoy playing golf, amateur baseball, and spending time with my wife and kids. I also volunteer with the Ag Division of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids.

Q: What drew you to FNB originally? And how has it changed since?

A: What originally drew me to FNB was the fact that they’re very active in the ag industry and seemed to be pretty progressive. Since I started, I’d say we have become even more involved and more progressive.

Q: What is your favorite line from a movie?

A: “So you’re telling me there’s a chance?” – Dumb and Dumber
