2026 has been a year of change and growth for the First National Ag Team.

As many of you know, we’ve had some transitions within our department, and I’m pleased to highlight new hires, new partnerships, and promotions.

Recent promotions

First, Kari Radack has accepted the newly created position of Ag Banking Operations Manager.

She oversees daily operations of the Ag Banking team, ensuring efficient management of resources.

This new role is critical for enhancing customer services and optimizing operational processes to support our customers and the communities we serve.

Having been part of our team for nearly 20 years, Kari is the perfect fit for it.

Next, Thomas Newman and David Painter were recently promoted to Ag Banking Team Leads and each manage a group of lenders along with continuing their commitment to their existing customer relationships.

Finally, Todd Van Den Bosch recently accepted the position of Community Bank President in the Chamberlain area market.

Todd will continue his banking role while being a critical part of our community development in the Chamberlain area!

New additions

We’ve also hired four new Ag Bankers.

Broc Haldeman, previously an Ag Credit Analyst for FNB, and new hire Garret Greenfield both bring unique skillsets that will be valuable to our team and our customer base.

Garret still helps out on the family farm near Sibley, Iowa, while Broc is active with his family’s row crop farm near Hartford.

Kyle Kayser also recently joined our Ag Banking team and comes with a wealth of relevant agricultural knowledge after nearly 20 years in the agronomy field.

Plus, he helps manage the Kayser family farm near Emery (alongside his brother Josh).

Kyle was a guest speaker at several events that I’ve helped host over the years and has hit the ground running here at First National.

Lastly, we’ve hired Jenna Adamson as an Ag Banker at the Chamberlain branch.

Jenna has 10 years of ag lending experience, and we are excited to have her join the team and bring a unique perspective from her ag and lending background.

In addition to our new lenders, Angela Rodrigez joined the team as an Ag Administrative Assistant with more than 10 years of banking experience. She’s located at our Louise branch.

Real estate loans and risk management

We’ve created two new positions that will focus on ag real estate loans.

Nicole Severson is the Ag Secondary Market Specialist, and Jill Budahl is the Ag Secondary Market Closing Specialist.

The addition of these two positions is critical for FNB to continue to offer streamlined and extremely competitive ag real estate loans to our existing and new customers.

In 2025, First National Bank was the 12th largest ag real estate originator with our partner, Farmer Mac, in the nation, so this is a large part of our business model to provide the best service to our customers.

We expect that this division of our team will continue to grow, as we anticipate the largest land ownership change in the history of our country in the next 10 years due to generational transition and other factors.

Lastly, we created a partnership with former ag banker Grant Olson, which allows us to partner on crop insurance and Livestock Risk Protection.

We are excited to have Grant continue his relationship with us through First Ag Risk Management.

A better yield

While change can be difficult, we’ve embraced these changes with grace, which has made our team stronger, more efficient, and ready to continue our growth in a dynamic market.

With change comes opportunity for improvement — for our teammates and our services — and I can say with confidence that we are in a great position to continue to serve you better! Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
