We know questions can come up when managing your debit card or Community Card. Browse our frequently asked questions to learn more about your card and the tools available to help you manage it.

Your debit card or Community Card will be mailed to you and must be activated before using. To activate, follow the instructions that come attached to your card. You’ll also be able to set up your PIN during this process. For reissued cards, use your existing PIN.

If you forget your PIN, call our Customer Service team at (605) 335-5200. We’ll ask you a few questions and reset your PIN.

If your debit card or Community Card is lost or stolen, acting fast limits your liability for unauthorized charges. Call us as soon as you notice your card is missing: (605) 335-5200. Our team can reissue you a new debit card.

There are two ways you can change your PIN:

  1. Call 877-219-4344 (toll-free) and follow the instructions to change your PIN.
  2. Change your PIN at any Advantage ATM by following the step-by-step instructions prompted by the terminal.

Your debit card has four standard daily limits set by First National Bank:

  • $1,020: The maximum amount you can withdraw from an ATM in a 24-hour period.
  • $1,020: The maximum amount you can withdraw via cash advance from a Bank teller.
  • $5,000: The maximum amount you can spend on PIN-based purchases in a 24-hour period (including cash back amount).
  • $5,000: The maximum you can spend on signature purchases in a 24-hour period.

To have your withdrawal limits adjusted, call our Customer Service team at (605) 335-5200 or contact your Personal Banker.

If you use your debit card or Community Card at an Advantage ATM, you will not be charged a fee. However, you may incur a fee for using an ATM outside of the Advantage Network.

Contact our Customer Service team immediately at (605) 335-5200. They will be able to determine how to handle the situation.

Any merchant accepting Visa cards will accept your debit card or Community Card.

First National Bank participates in a monitoring service to assist with preventing fraudulent transactions. If an unusual transaction is suspected, you may be notified to verify the transaction.

Here are three things we’ll never ask you to do:

  • Provide us with your full account number
  • Provide us with your full debit card number
  • Provide us with your Online Banking login credentials
