In House Counsel

Hometown: Watertown, SD
Education: University of Minnesota; University of South Dakota

I originally worked in private law for five years after graduating from USD with a joint JD/MBA. However, I was eager for a change, and I came to work at FNB because of the Bank’s solid reputation within the community.

As In House Counsel, I have the opportunity to utilize my law degree outside of a traditional private practice setting — and I’m a bit of a personal finance nerd, so First National Wealth Management is a perfect fit for me.

The most rewarding part of my job since I joined the Bank in 2016 has been helping on new projects and seeing them through to completion!

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with Sioux Falls Rotary South, golfing, cooking, barbecuing, cheering on the Minnesota Gophers, and spending time with my wife, Kira.
