Since 2005, we’ve awarded $84,000 to local high school seniors. This year, we’re looking to make that number $89,000 with our next round of scholarships!

We’ll be awarding $1,000 scholarships to five seniors who submit an application and a 30–60 second video (no essay required!) answering this year’s prompt:

Tell us about a teacher, coach, counselor, or other mentor you admire. What impact has this person had on you? Give one to three examples of things you’ve learned from this person that you will take with you in the next stage of life.

Once your video is ready to go, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Download and complete the application (two pages).
  2. Request your official high school transcript from your school.
  3. Create and post your 30–60 second video on YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, or Instagram Reels. Choose Public or Unlisted when uploading your video, and include the link with your other application materials.
  4. Upload these items using the form in the link below. All requirements listed above must be met or it will result in disqualification of the applicant.

Each applicant must be a graduating area high school senior who plans to attend an accredited institution of higher learning (public or private) as a full-time student. Applicants do not need to be customers of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls to apply, and the scholarship is not renewable. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023.
