Fiduciary Risk Manager

Hometown: Philip, SD
Education: University of South Dakota

I grew up as a West River South Dakotan but moved East River to earn my bachelor’s in business administration and my master’s in professional accountancy from USD.

After working in public accounting for five years, I joined the First National Wealth Management team in 2012. Other positions I have held here include Personal Trust Officer and Quality Assurance Supervisor.

As Fiduciary Risk Manager, I enjoy working with my Wealth Management teammates to continually enhance the way we serve our clients.

Something I love about First National Bank is our commitment to community, and I play my part in that by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, Feeding South Dakota, and the Lutheran Social Services Mentor Program.

My husband, Joe, and I have three children — Samantha, Charles, and Eleanor — who I spend much of my free time with. My other hobbies include golfing, gardening, baking, and fishing.

I once thought I liked riding motorcycle, too, when I earned my license from a two-day class after college graduation. However, following a 60-mile roundtrip ride, I discovered that I dislike riding motorcycles and haven’t been on one since!
