Ag Banker

Hometown: Volga, SD
Education: Northwestern College

I’ve been farming ever since I was old enough to drive. For more than 25 years now, I’ve worked on our family farm where we raise corn and soybeans.

My background in agriculture also includes livestock experience, having been around cattle my whole life. Previously, I owned a cow herd and worked at the Sioux Falls Stockyards and Sioux Falls Regional Livestock.

Because of my time in the trenches with both crops and cattle, I can relate to the unique challenges that producers face. I love teaming up with farmers to help you accomplish your goals and dreams, and I’m excited about evolving technology that continues to make operations more efficient.

When I’m not out on the farm (whether that be my family’s farm or one of our customers’), I enjoy snowmobiling, four-wheeling in the mountains, skiing, water sports, and building campfires. I once bought a plane before I even knew how to fly it — but now that I know how, I’m passionate about flying and especially to new places.

I’m also actively involved with Gracepoint Wesleyan Church, helping lead Sioux Valley youth wrestling, and setting up the Sioux Empire Livestock Show.

My wife, Mallory, and I met at Northwestern. Together, we have three children: Hayden, who loves animals and playing sports; Cora, who likes a good joke and driving around in the side-by-side; and West, who is my shadow and wants to do anything farm-related.
