It was Time for a Refresh


We’re glad you’re exploring our updated website! We’ve been working on innovative ways to better serve you and to help make your banking experience a breeze. One big component to that is giving our website a refresh, so it’s better and easier to navigate. As you take the time to look through the site next week, you might have some questions, and we’re here to help. Below is a small Q&A highlighting some of the changes we’re making.

If you take a look around and can’t find the answer you’re looking for, give us a call, send us an email, or stop in to one of our branches. We’d be happy to give you a personalized tour!


Why a new website at FNBSF?
We want to make your online experience with us easier and better. We worked for nearly a year to understand how we can do that, and this new website is the result. is made to be user-friendly, easy to navigate, and intuitive. We hope you think so, too!

I liked the old site. Why mess with it?
The old was great for us and our customers for a long time, but we want to be sure that what we share with you represents your needs today. The last time we updated our website was three years ago, and a lot has changed with how all of us experience technology. The new, we think, is functional and beautiful in a way that you should expect in 2018 and beyond.

I just want to log in to my account and get things done. What about that?
We’re glad you asked! First, thank you for being a customer or client. You’re our inspiration for changing The first thing we focused on was making logging in easier and better. You’ll see that everywhere you go on the site – and we hope you look around at several pages – you’ll also find a pesky “Log In” button following you at the top right-hand side of the page. We did that on purpose: we know that most of what happens at either starts or ends with accessing your accounts. We hope you like the change!

How about online banking? What have you changed there?
We made a big change to Personal Online Banking earlier this year, and we hope you like it or have come to love it. During the website re-design, we reviewed our terms and conditions, correcting an outdated name, but made no additional changes to your online banking experience. Our Business Online Banking will be getting a refresher in early 2019. If you have features or things you’d like to see in online banking, let us know! It’s always good to know what we can do better for you!

So it’s easier and better, eh? How so?
In the new site, you’ll see some changes that we think are both helpful and (humbly) pretty great. First, we want to get you to where you want to go faster because getting caught in a website maze is no fun. Our hope is that you’ll find what you want with no more than two or three clicks. If you don’t, we will always encourage you to contact us so we can help you get what you want, faster.

Second, we want you to experience as a customer or potential customer what we think is the best about The First National Bank in Sioux Falls: our FIRST Values and our culture. Everywhere, you’ll see images, stories, and information that we hope gives you a sense of what it’s like to work with us. Our strength is in our communities, and you’ll see customer and community stories that give you a great picture of why we’ve been successful for 130+ years. We hope you love it, and we hope helps you know who we are maybe even before you personally know us.

Finally, the shift in look and feel also is accompanied by a shift in focus: we want to provide you great content, help you know what we’re the best at doing, and show where we can most effectively partner with you. Whether you’re wondering about what a special business loan program is, how to invest for your future, or finance that new home, you’ll find helpful information on our site to get you where you want to go on those journeys.

How is the site organized?
We organized the site by what you might need and where you are in your financial journey. Are you an early-stage business wondering how we can be your partner? Click on “Business” and “Start-Up.” Are you an established ag producer hoping to grow? Click on “Agribusiness” and “Grow.” Looking to invest or preserve your personal wealth? Click on “Wealth Management” and “Individual Wealth.” When you land on any of these pages, we’ll have a selection of carefully curated resources that will answer questions and put you in touch with the right people, right away.

What about the mobile website?
Glad you asked! The new site should look amazing on your mobile device or tablet because it’s been built with that exact experience in mind. Our Navigation menu will look a little different between a computer browser and your phone or tablet, but otherwise, you should be able to scroll away, find what you’re looking for, and have a great experience.
