Each week we’ll be showing you who we are through FNB Family Fridays! We’ve asked our friends and teammates questions that will give you a look into what they do at the Bank, their hobbies outside of work, and some of their favorite things. Be sure to check back here every Friday to read about another featured team member. We have some interesting people we work with every day!
Our featured employee this week is a member of our Customer Service team, Saylor Benson!
Saylor is from Lennox, SD, and attended USD where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in business administration. She’s worked at our Downtown Branch as a Customer Service Specialist ever since! Saylor and the Customer Service team work with our customers to provide the awesome service FNB is known for. This includes helping with problem solving, fraud disputes, account information, transactions/transfers, and more.
Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?
A: I love being able to work on problem solving and getting to talk to some amazing people/customers. I have built great relationships over the phone and enjoy getting to talk to those people each week.
Q: Describe FNB in three words and explain why you chose those three.
A: Family, Friendly, Humble. Each and every person I work with can be described as friendly, humble, and like part of my family. I enjoy being surrounded by genuine people every day.
Q: What drew you to FNB originally? And how has it changed since?
A: The organizational culture and atmosphere! My mom has worked for FNB for over 15 years, and the people she works with have always treated me like family. I was intrigued and found the same kind of people bank-wide. What’s better than loving the people you work with? This is one quality I don’t see FNB losing anytime soon.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: Playing softball, going camping and fishing, house remodeling, and traveling! I also love to participate in various volunteer activities with Rake-the-Town, The Banquet, Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Junior Achievement, JDRF, and First English Lutheran Church. My family and I always try to participate in fundraisers by baking, buying, organizing, or walking to raise money for different organizations.
Q: If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be, and why?
A: Joanna Gaines – I want to know how she manages owning/operating multiple businesses and still being a fantastic mother and wife!
